Bellatrix Lastrange

Bellatrix Lastrange's death eaters mask

I just rewatched the Harry Potter series of films with my youngest last month. As in most films, Helena Bonham Carter stands out in everything she performs in and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is no different. The death eater masks are a particular note in the story of the wizarding world and I chose Bellatrix Lastrange’s mask as a subject for this illustration.

This was created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and the original file is roughly 19″x30″.

The print of this sketch is on from a Canon Pro-100 using Hahnemühle Platinum Rag paper.

Iron Man sketch

Ahoska Tano is such a critical character in the Star Wars mythology. Originally a Padwan to Anakin Skywalker and became a hero of The Clone Wars. Ashley Eckstein was the actor who originally brought Ahsoka to life and that torch has now been passed to Rosario Dawson who portrays her on the Disney+ series, The Mandalorian

These portraits of Rosario/Ahsoka were created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Warm-up sketches are a beneficial exercise to begin the workday, focusing on a simple idea to sketch to focus energy and release creativity. Warm-ups help begin the day on something outside of the day’s tasks; allowing creativity to take control for a few moments before the day’s rush. They provide a brief exercise to energize your creativity and experiment on a topic or theme that may sit outside scheduled projects that will dictate the rest of the day’s activities.

This illustration is from  Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s film My Neighbor Totoro and was created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
