The end of the year can provide an opportunity for reflection. Although these are not all of the works I created this year, this is a good representation of the illustrations made during 2021, Pandemic Year 2.
Spending much of the year experimenting with tools, techniques, and workflows in order to better replicate traditional art techniques using all digital tools.
All of the work in 2021 focused on pop culture icons and themes from my childhood; ranging from the Marvel characters I love to the science-fiction of H.R. Giger.
I had some great personal accomplishments throughout the year. First and foremost being told by the legendary Mark Hamill that he loved my portrait of himself to attaining my first licensed works for 3 key properties: Aliens, Halloween, and Hannibal.
I also had the chance at a few collaborations that resulted in 2 gallery shows in London as well as inclusion of a new book that showcased the #TerrorTwos art project created by my friends Si and Cherie.
I am looking forward to a prosperous and productive 2022 as I continue to push the boundaries of the tools I use from Adobe and Corel, as well as incorporate traditional techniques whenever possible.
